Honing his focus on real people and real communities, Salvatore took reality and embellished it, challenging negative assumptions of the San Berillo district.
Salvatore di Gregorio’s (b. 1979, Sicily) work bounces between fashion and lifestyle photography, drawing on themes relating to cultural diversity and social fabrics. Deeply attentive, the artist endeavours to throw new light on his subjects through photography. His ability to understand the social undercurrents and nuances of different communities helps him to create quietly intimate, candid imagery and portraiture. He is based in London and Berlin.
