Employing anything from 3D animation and rendering software to laser scanning technology, Max Colson’s (b. 1985, United Kingdom) practice examines the relationship between architecture and landscape, and how it impresses on society. Moving within these mediums, Max critiques and satirises the work of those who use them – real estate developers, architects, policymakers – all the while questioning the limits of what we conceive as photography. Born and raised in London, much of his research centres on the socio-economic climate of the city and the UK at large.

By employing the very same technologies used by real estate developers and architects to scan sites before they are redeveloped, London Knowledge gives a tactful critique of their methods.
