Massimiliano Gatti’s (Italy, 1981) work is tied to the cultural and political tensions in the Middle East, from its historical up to the present day. Far from documentary, his approach focuses on themes of memory and personal contemplation. His latest series Le nuvole (which is the Italian translation for ‘clouds’), uses clouds as a motif to explore the influence of social media on how we perceive global events.
